NORELEM
Magnetic clamping ball
Magnetic clamping balls are used to hold components in an optimal working position during polishing, assembly and laser welding. The balls can be tilted up to 90° depending on the geometry or the weight of the part to be held. The magnet can be actuated or released using the supplied hex T-wrench.
The new magnetic clamping balls from norelem allow free positioning and fixing of parts on a large surface. They facilitate fast clamping and unclamping and have proven themselves in tool and mold construction, among other things – especially with regard to polishing, assembly and laser welding tasks.
Clamping is carried out using a permanent magnet with an adhesion of up to 100 N/cm², which can be activated with an Allen key. When the user turns the key 120°, the magnetic contact surface unfolds its full power. For flexible positioning of the workpiece, partial magnetization of the magnet is also possible.
The new ball magnets from norelem are of particularly high quality. The contact surface has a fine pole pitch of 1.5 mm and is inserted into an anodized aluminum ball. The ball is located in a chemically nickel-plated steel ring covered with leather, and is held in position thanks to a stick-slip effect.
