Compact high torque hollow shaft motor
The in-house developed direct drive is based on the magnetic flux technology of wind turbine generators.
This results in high torque with a compact installation space.
In numbers, this means two to three times more torque for the same build volume compared to conventional direct drives from competitors.
The through hollow shaft with a diameter of 50 mm offers generous space for the passage of cables, vacuum or compressed air lines, light and laser beams, fiber optics or camera lenses.
The absolute measuring system allows immediate starting without a reference run. With a resolution of 120,000 incr. per revolution, a repeatability of ±11 arcsec can be achieved. The single cable connection can be supplied in either a right or left exit configuration.
Thanks to the patented "Force Calibration" function, unwanted cogging, weight and friction forces of ROTAX® Rxhq direct drives can be easily compensated. This makes it possible to specify, limit and monitor forces in processes. With the Forceteq® basic technology included in the XENAXR servo controller, it is possible to record force/distance diagrams - an additional torque sensor is not required.
