YASKAWA
Vipa Yaskawa Micro Automaton
Fast, Powerful, MICRO
In addition to its small size, the new MICRO PLC is equipped with the very latest processor with SPEED7 technology which gives it clock speed, cycle time and processing capacity, which are out of the ordinary. It is capable of performing complex automation or positioning applications. The performance of the backplane bus, with its exchanges at 48 Mbit/s, makes it possible to quickly process the information coming from the input/output modules. Worthy of much larger PLCs, it is the most efficient micro-PLC in its class.
Large number of integrated inputs/outputs
In addition to its size, an additional advantage is the quantity of inputs/outputs provided as standard in the MICRO PLC. With its 30 on/off and analog inputs/outputs, the CPU alone can be used for many applications. In addition, it can be extended with up to 8 additional modules. From launch, all-or-nothing modules will be available (16DI, 16DO, 16DIO and 8 relays) and more will follow. A maximum of 158 I/O can be taken into account.
Secure wiring with automatic insertion terminal block
The terminal blocks of the MICRO PLC are all detachable and therefore make it possible to anticipate pre-wiring when a large number of PLCs are to be installed. They can be inserted or removed without special tools. During maintenance operations, a replacement PLC can be set up very quickly by connecting the terminal blocks without redoing the wiring. The terminal blocks themselves have self-inserting terminals. The connection of sensors and actuators is quick and the cables are perfectly maintained even in the event of vibration.
Access to simplified diagnostic functions
The location of the status LEDs, positioned directly in front of each terminal, makes it possible to identify the status of each of the inputs and outputs at a glance. In addition, the MICRO is equipped with an integrated web server, which allows access to data and diagnostic and status interfaces, as well as visualization projects, directly from a web browser or mobile device.
Interfaces, communication and memory
An Ethernet Switch with 2 ports is present as standard on the MICRO PLC for communication and programming. This Switch is already ready for future evolutions. The possibilities can evolve by performing a simple firmware update.
In addition to standard Ethernet protocols such as Modbus TCP or S7 communication, the MICRO also speaks the PROFINET language. Up to eight PROFINET devices can easily be connected to it or the MICRO can be integrated as an I-device in PROFINET topologies. An optional extension module allows the implementation of Serial, MPI and PROFIBUS Slave communications. The memory capacity of the PLC can be extended by using a VIPA Set Card (VSC).
In its basic version, the controller has 64 Kbytes of work memory. Access to the 128 KB can simply be unlocked by inserting a VSC card into the SD card reader on the front of the PLC. This is memory with fully retentive technology that does not require any security measures in the event of a power failure.
In addition, the Yaskawa Controls compact controller has the following additional features: SNTP, pulse output, MRP client, PNIODiag FB126.
Apps
This new MICRO PLC with its high performance, can be implemented in mass-produced machines or in special machines, alone or in decentralized architectures. It can also be deployed in BMS or BMS applications.
