13 - Sartorius Stedim Biotech invests 100 million Euros in France

The Franco-German group based in Aubagne will double its production capacity in France to meet the demand of Big Pharmas for consumables and single-use instruments. Its ambition is to double its turnover in 2025 to reach 5 billion euros. The company is embarking on a 100 million euro plan to extend its Provençal manufacturing unit by another 4,000 square meters. This expansion, scheduled for 2023, should double the size of the plant. Also planned is the construction of a new logistics warehouse of 10,000 square meters and the creation the following year of an additional 2,000 square meters of research laboratory. This investment will allow the digitization and automation of the process, the reinforcement of the workforce and the modernization of the two other units of the group in France, in Lourdes (80 people) and in Cergy (35 people)
