59 - The Lille coffee roaster Méo-Fichaux expands its factory
Méo-Fichaux is extending production at its factory in La Madeleine (Nord), with the creation of a new hall of nearly 4,000 m², and will soon be marketing a new young brand, Koota. In this new building, the brand has inaugurated a new production line, this is its fourth. Capacity of the new equipment: 1,100 coffee capsules produced per minute, which will represent some 150 million additional capsules per year (to reach the objective of 450 million capsules). An investment in the sector of the capsules which represents 9 million euros, these representing in fact 6 to 7% of the turnover of Méo-Fichaux. The group is also launching a new young brand called Koota. It will be marketed in May 2022, exclusively at Chronodrive initially, then in the organic departments of other large and medium-sized surfaces over the long term.
