France 2030: 100 million Euros to support regions affected by changes in the automotive sector
The transport sectors are now facing a major challenge: the transition to low-carbon vehicles. "We have the third stage of the rocket: the France 2030 plan announced by the President of the Republic with a target of two million electrified vehicles in France by 2030," says Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty on the occasion of the launch of the “Industrial Rebound” scheme. If the decarbonization of transport offers a development opportunity for certain companies, it is not without consequences for certain actors and territories that depend on the sector. In order to help them to be resilient in the face of changes in the transport sector, France 2030 is relying on a concrete measure: a call for expressions of interest (AMI) "Industrial rebound". Engineering support will last three months in order to identify and implement new industrial projects (all sectors combined) in the affected employment areas. A medium-term roadmap will be drawn up at the end of this period. This engineering component will be managed by the Banque des Territoires, and will have a budget of 10 million euros. Financial support in advanced reimbursable grants will be provided to priority industrial and job-creating projects. This financing component will be managed by Bpifrance, and will have a budget of 90 million euros.
