45 - John Deere to create jobs and produce electric batteries in Fleury-les-Aubrais

The American industrial specialist in agricultural equipment will invest nearly 34 million euros on its huge site in Fleury-les-Aubrais, in the agglomeration of Orléans, to manufacture electric batteries.

This project should create around 60 jobs by the end of 2024.

The objective: rapidly double its production capacity with the ambition of 19,000 batteries per year, or 12 GWhs.

The start-up is announced for the end of 2024. These batteries will, for example, equip London buses, boats, charging stations, agricultural equipment, etc.

But they should not replace the diesel engines that the Fleury-les-Aubrais factory that its 800 employees will continue to manufacture.
