Cargo Bike: a 100% electric model from the Douze cycles and Toyota partnership

Toyota France has chosen the company Douze Cycles in Longvic (Côte-d'Or) to design and build its first model of electrically assisted cargo bike. Production, which began in September with brand new industrial equipment, required an investment of two million euros. The car manufacturer will take care of marketing the bikes on a larger scale, while ensuring their maintenance. Thanks to this project with Toyota, the artisanal production company Douze Cycles can thus plan for a long period in the manufacture of a particular model. A model that has also created jobs. Since the start of the year, Douze Cycles and its fifteen partner companies have recruited a total of around forty people.
