Saint-Gobain Aerospace inaugurates a porthole production line dedicated to Airbus
Saint-Gobain Aerospace has just inaugurated a production line for windows in Saint-Jean-d'Illac, in Gironde. This new generation of "transparencies" for Airbus promises increased resistance and vision without optical distortion. This investment of 7 million euros, supported by a subsidy of one million euros from the France Relance plan and the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, marks a strategic step forward for Saint-Gobain's aeronautics branch. This line is dedicated to new-generation windows for the Airbus A320, A321, A330 and A350 models. Discreet and strictly confidential, the Gironde plant limits press access to protect its technical innovations. "In our sector, it's the process that makes the difference," emphasizes Jean-Éric Vermont, CEO of Saint-Gobain Aerospace France.
