Atlantic Group invests 140 million euros to produce 150,000 heat pumps per year in Saône-et-Loire

The Atlantic Group has launched the construction of a factory in Virey-le-Grand, in the Saôneor industrial zone, to produce up to 150,000 heat pumps per year. This investment of 140 million euros marks a strategic step for the company, which will repatriate to France the manufacturing of components previously purchased in Asia. Scheduled for January 2026, this 39,000 m² factory will employ 300 people by 2027. More than 17,800 m² will be dedicated to production workshops, including modern equipment such as cutting machines, hydraulic presses, welding units, automated and manual assembly lines. In addition to the environmental benefits thanks to local and sustainable production, the site strengthens competitiveness in terms of manufacturing and logistics. This project illustrates the industrial dynamics of the Grand Chalon, which is positioning itself as a key player in the French economic recovery. An extension to 65,000 m² is planned to meet future needs.
