Reden inaugurates a solar panel production plant and strengthens its leadership in the sector
A major player in the photovoltaic, agrivoltaic and energy storage solutions sectors, the Reden group has just inaugurated a new photovoltaic module production plant in Roquefort, near Agen, consolidating its leading position in the solar sector. Since its creation in 2008, Reden has gone from simply selling panels to completely controlling the production chain, from identifying land to producing electricity. Despite costs 70% higher than those of Asian competitors, Reden still produces 50% of its panels to better control its technology. The plant, supported by public and private funding, aims for a capacity of 300,000 modules per year. Solar is presented as essential for energy independence and reducing CO2 emissions. Reden, active in 9 countries and with 250 employees, aims for 10 gigawatts of production capacity by 2030.
