NORELEM
Safety switches
At norelem, the safety of operators and machine handling is essential. Discover our range of contactless security sensors. They are intended to protect and secure doors or other protections which are used near machines or dangerous installations.
These locking sensors are used mainly in industrial areas to authorize or prevent the use of machines depending on their safety condition. Robust and reliable, safety position sensors are an easy solution to integrate into all your industrial maneuvers and are TÜV, cULus, EAC certified, and comply with ISO 13849-1, IEC 60947-5-3, BG-GS- standards. ET-14.
Uses and characteristics of safety switches
Safety sensors are integrated into machine doors, shutters or hoods and ensure that the equipment only operates when the covers are closed. The switch automatically shuts off the system if it detects an open lid while the machine is running to protect operators from any hazards.
norelem offers you different types of security sensors with RFID (radio frequency identification) or magnetic coding.
No contact is necessary for the correct operation of the switch with a sensor located on the mobile part and the reading head of the device mounted on the fixed part.
norelem magnetic safety sensors consist of electronics located in a fully encapsulated housing. The switching status is indicated by LED. Actuators for magnetic safety sensors, like magnetic safety switches, have an IP67 protection rating. If the actuator is within the switching distance range, then the safety and signaling contacts are switched. The contact closes with a magnet. The actuator can be at the same level as the safety sensor or offset by an angle of 90°.
norelem offers RFID security sensors for use on protective covers, flaps or doors. It is possible to connect up to 31 sensors in series, allowing simultaneous monitoring of several protection doors. 3 LEDs indicate the switching status:
- Yellow LED: operating status
- Green LED: supply voltage
- Red LED: fault
They are accompanied by actuators for RFID sensors .
Security is a central point at norelem. Marcus Schneck, CEO of norelem testifies: “We know the importance of safety in manufacturing environments, both for the benefit of operators and for the efficiency of installations. By preventing machine operation until all covers are closed, our contactless safety switches can help manufacturers reduce the risk of injuries along their production lines and keep operations running smoothly. And with two variants available, we are able to offer the flexibility manufacturers need, without compromising the ultimate goal of increased safety.”
