Absolute angle encoder with hollow shaft

Absolute angle encoders from HEIDENHAIN type RCN (2300/5300/8300 series) provide the current position value directly, without having to move the machine axis. They are characterized by their high precision values, of the order of a second of arc, or even smaller.

• Typically 9,000 to 180,000 strokes

• Accuracies from ± 5“ to ± 0.4“

• Hollow shaft from Ø 20mm to 100mm

• Position/revolution up to 29 bits, i.e. approximately 536 million positions per revolution (absolute)
