Bare measuring rulers
HEIDENHAIN bare scale measuring systems (incremental or absolute) operate without any mechanical contact between the scanning head and the scale or tape measure. Typical applications for these systems are measuring machines, profile projectors and other precision devices as well as manufacturing and measuring equipment, e.g. ex. in the semiconductor industries.
• Accuracy classes up to ± 0.5 µm and more
• Resolutions down to 0.001 ?m (1nm)
• measuring lengths up to 30 m
• No friction between the scanning head and the measuring ruler
• Small dimensions and low masses
• high travel speeds
