MODE OF OPERATION: METAL BELLOWS COUPLINGS

Metal bellows couplings are particularly suitable for direct drives. The typical metal bellows is the key element of this coupling. It compensates for axial and angular misalignments for low restoring forces. The backlash-free, torsionally rigid metal bellows couplings ensure precise positioning of the drive unit and can be used in ultra-dynamic applications up to over 10,000 rpm on a finely balanced model.

  • Structure :
    • both halves of the clamping hub are removable in one direction. With split clamping hubs and 2 side ISO 4762 screws per hub side.
    • The unbalance of the clamping hubs due to the construction is compensated by balancing bores inside the hub.
  • Temperature range: -30 to +120°C
  • Backlash: Absolutely backlash-free thanks to a tight, force-bonded connection and a proven principle.
  • Lifespan: metal bellows couplings are very durable and maintenance-free if the technical instructions are followed.
  • Tolerance clearance: of the shaft-hub connection 0.01 - 0.05 mm
