Description

CTS is a French company specializing since 1991 in consulting, design, development and manufacturing of test equipment for the simulation of climatic environments such as hot/cold, freezing/thawing, salt fog, rain and dust pushed to extreme levels.

Technical details

Humidity regulation

The climatic chambers we offer are equipped with different reliable and durable humidity control systems depending on the chosen application:

  • Dew bath with refrigeration coil for very precise humidity control
  • Steam generator used for its rapid humidity rise and in large volume enclosures
  • Ultrasound to generate cold steam , ideal in ICH stabilized regulation conditions

The relative humidity measurement is carried out by means of a capacitive probe placed in the useful volume at the level of the air flow.

Thermal enclosures without humidity control

Our equipment regulates temperature with a high degree of precision and homogeneity.

All our standard “C” and “T” series enclosures have two PT100s placed in suction and blowing of the useful volume. The regulation can be set on one or the other of the probes.

The CET series regulates the temperature from a PT100 placed in suction.

Heating is done by shielded stainless steel resistors.
Cooling is achieved by a single-stage or double-stage refrigeration system.
We strive to use greener and more environmentally friendly refrigerant gases, such as CO2.

Dry heat ovens

Ovens are equipment that allows heat treatment of a material, component or finished product, from room temperature to very high temperatures of 750°C.
Above 400°C and up to 1300°C, we are talking more about ovens.

These are devices that only produce heat.

Ovens and furnaces can be classified into different categories:

  • Its maximum working temperature
  • The fact that it is equipment for laboratory applications or industrial applications
  • A heating method using forced or static hot air convection
  • Its classification in the face of an Atex risk.
  • Dust and rain environments

  • Most manufacturers need to know what the corrosion resistance power of materials, components and/or finished products may be.

    Salt spray simulation chambers are used to simulate climatic environments that greatly accelerate corrosion aging. There are several types of test equipment: continuous salt spray simulation, or simulation of salt spray and climatic conditions alternately.

    Other manufacturers need to know the level of dust and water tightness of the products they manufacture. The use of dust enclosures, rain enclosures or equipment installed in a wet room, makes it possible to conduct these types of IP tightness tests.
