Stainless steel socket sealing plugs, stainless steel ball
Sealing plugs are used to securely, quickly and economically seal bores in fluid technology, e.g. to seal auxiliary bores in hydraulic power units. These components are equipped with a toothed sleeve that expands when the ball is pushed in, expands the component until it seals the bore and is anchored in the base material. The result is a tight metallic seal that can withstand the highest pressures. Suitable for base materials of low to medium hardness. Assembly is usually carried out by hand using a setting punch.
When manufacturing a hydraulic or pneumatic unit, the process requires, among other things, auxiliary drillings to accurately introduce all the channels required for the respective application into the part. These auxiliary drillings must be perfectly sealed for the subsequent proper functioning of the component, while being able to withstand extremely high pressure.
