Radiometric level measurement
Description
The continuous level measuring system is used for continuous, non-contact measurement of liquids and bulk materials in reactors, tanks and hoppers. Level measurement is insensitive to the chemical and physical properties of the product to be measured. It is adapted to the specific geometry of the tank.
The Berthold level alarm is used in all industrial sectors, including the food industry. This measurement system is applicable to any tank to control one or more alarm levels of liquids or bulk solids. In fact the Berthold level alarm is suitable for installation on all types of tanks or silos, such as storage tanks, hot storage silos, tanks with agitators, high pressure reactors, cyclones or feed chutes.Technical details
The continuous level transmitter works according to the radiometric principle and uses the physical law of the attenuation of gamma radiation when it passes through matter. Since the type of source and the absorption path are constant in this case, the measurement is influenced exclusively by the presence of the product. All other physical properties, such as pressure, temperature, viscosity and color are irrelevant.
