Moisture and density measurement on solid matter by microwave Micro-Polar
Berthold Technologies' microwave measurement principle allows online and continuous measurement of the humidity or density of the most varied products during production on a conveyor belt, hopper, silo or chute.
The Micro-PolarTM allows the measurement of bulk, powdery and granular products.
Areas of application include the mining industry, biomass power plants, coking plants, chemical plants, as well as the building materials, wood and paper industries, quarries, etc.
The microwave technology employed enables non-contact measurement of the entire cross-section, providing accurate and representative real-time data for quality control and process optimization. This system makes it possible to compensate for differences in product height using a separate dedicated sensor (for example: ultrasonic sensor). In the event of heterogeneous apparent density, a device for radiometric compensation of the surface mass can be connected as an option.
