At EMO 2019 in Hannover, Jongen presented its high-performance "5xD" drill bits.
The Jongen range of drills are suitable for high performance machining of steel, stainless steel, difficult to machine materials, cast iron and aluminium.
Until now, the tools could be used up to a useful depth of 3xD (3 x diameter).
At EMO Jongen presented new drills with a drilling depth of 5xD (5 x diameter).
The same drill inserts can be used for both models.
The tools are designed for stationary or rotating use, which means that they can be used in milling and turning.
