Calyxia accelerates its development with its biodegradable microcapsules
Calyxia, a company from Val-de-Marne, has just raised more than 31 million euros to accelerate its development. Specializing in the production of biodegradable microcapsules and microparticles for consumer goods, crop protection and advanced materials, it plans to install six new production lines by 2025, while preparing for expansion in Asia and the United States. This funding, obtained thanks to Lombard Odier's Plastic Circularity Fund, Bpifrance's Large Venture fund and Astanor, will allow Calyxia to achieve profitability and continue setting up its factory in Limeil-Brévannes (94). Founded in 2015 by researchers from Harvard, ESPCI-Paris PSL and Cambridge, Calyxia has developed innovative, more resistant and non-polluting microcapsules. With two production lines already in place, this fundraising will accelerate the industrialization of their technology.
