Araïko: Human-centered AI solutions for more efficient industries
In five years, Araïko has established itself as an essential partner for industrial SMEs and mid-caps in their digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI). Fayçal Rezgui, President and Co-founder, details their innovative approach that places humans at the center of AI projects. Data-AI Diagnostics, from prototype to operational deployment of AI solutions through concrete examples - discover how Araïko supports its customers towards robust AI solutions that bring value. A pragmatic vision of AI to transform industry
Founded five years ago, Araïko supports industrial companies in a complete AI digital transformation, from strategy to the implementation of adapted AI solutions. Araïko's approach is based on a triptych of expertise: data science, knowledge of industrial professions and software development. "Humans determine the success of technological projects," says Fayçal Rezgui. By promoting high value-added projects and facilitating their adoption, Araïko proves that AI can transform companies in a sustainable way.
AI data diagnostics – Identify high value-added use cases
The first step for a successful AI transformation is an in-depth diagnosis. "We interview key players in the company, from senior management to operators, in order to cross-reference their field expertise with ours," explains Fayçal Rezgui. This phase allows us to draw up a strategic roadmap and prioritize AI projects based on their feasibility and expected return on investment.
In a few weeks, Araïko provides a 360-degree vision of the opportunities that AI can offer. This phase is preceded by acculturation sessions to demystify AI and create a common frame of reference within the company. "This is essential for each player to understand how AI can solve real-world problems while respecting the company's culture."
Araïko works with a diverse clientele: from local SMEs to mid-cap companies specializing in sectors such as automotive, aeronautics, nuclear power and agri-food. "Each profile has unique needs, but they are all looking for concrete solutions to improve their performance and differentiate themselves on the market," adds Fayçal.
Prototype Proof of Concept (POC) – Demonstrate feasibility and ROI
Once the use cases have been identified, Araïko develops proofs of concept (POC) to validate their technical and economic feasibility. "Our internal platform of 32 AI modules allows us to quickly prototype solutions adapted to customer needs," explains Fayçal Rezgui. These modules analyze various data – images, sounds, texts or videos – and are connected to offer industrializable solutions.
During this phase, Araïko also identifies potential gains in productivity and quality. "Beyond operational gains, AI can also create new products and services, thereby strengthening the competitive differentiation and profitability of our customers. We help manufacturers gain perspective to fully exploit these opportunities."
Araïko's customers include, for example, manufacturers of capital goods wishing to improve their purchasing process, automate their supply chain, or companies seeking to optimize their energy management. These tailor-made solutions allow each customer to meet their specific challenges.
Deployment (MVP) – Robust and scalable solutions
The deployment of AI solutions is based on Minimum Viable Products (MVP), guaranteeing their robustness and scalability. "AI must be a tool adapted to the needs of end users. We encourage their adoption by involving them from the design phase," emphasizes Fayçal Rezgui. This human-centered approach helps avoid resistance to change.
Araïko also offers scalable SaaS solutions. “We monitor AI solutions to ensure they remain efficient and aligned with our customers’ needs. This builds their trust and ensures long-term collaboration.”
Whether small family businesses or large groups, Araïko adapts to the needs of its customers by offering flexible solutions. Mid-sized companies, in particular, benefit from their ability to deploy tools on a large scale while maintaining impeccable quality of service.
ERP projects illustrate this vision. “Today, ERPs cause a lot of suffering in companies because they force humans to behave like computers, filling in fields and following a rigid order,” says Fayçal Rezgui. “By integrating AI in a thoughtful way, we are putting humans back at the heart of digital. We are facilitating the interaction between humans and technology, making these systems much more intuitive and accessible. This is technology at the service of humans, not the opposite.”
Concrete examples – Humans at the heart of AI solutions
A striking example is Shiroo, a mobile application dedicated to capitalizing on know-how. "For an ETI manufacturing air handling systems, we offered them Shiroo, which allows experts to transmit their best practices naturally via audio, videos or photos," explains Fayçal Rezgui. The AI automatically organizes this data into summary sheets, accessible to all employees. All you have to do is open the application and ask your question, to immediately find the right targeted and sourced answer.
To encourage this knowledge transfer, Shiroo integrates motivation mechanisms such as rewards linked to the company's HR policy. "This type of solution transforms companies into learning organizations, where everyone can flourish by focusing on high value-added tasks."
Another notable example: a predictive solution developed for an industrial assembly company, allowing them to anticipate breakdowns of their critical machines. "Thanks to the real-time analysis of data from IoT sensors, this solution reduced unplanned downtime by 30%," explains Fayçal Rezgui.
Araïko's main directions: strategic directives and new AI applications
With its 42 employees and unique expertise, Araïko continues to innovate to help companies fully exploit the potential of AI. "We position ourselves as strategic partners, not just a supplier," recalls Fayçal Rezgui. By placing people at the heart of the solutions, Araïko supports its customers in their complete AI transformation.
Araïko’s client profiles reflect the diversity of needs the company meets: manufacturers looking to automate their processes, innovative startups wanting to integrate AI into their services, and large companies aiming for organizational transformation. With a tailored approach, Araïko continues to make a difference in a rapidly changing industrial landscape.
ARAIKO will participate in the Global Industrie trade fair which will take place from Tuesday 11 to Friday 14 March 2025 at Eurexpo Lyon.
