87 - Scopema invests 12 million Euros in a new factory

On its historic site in the Garennes business park in Oradour-sur-Vayres (Haute-Vienne), the French leader in the manufacture of bench seats for vans and motorhomes, Scopema has a new 12,000 m2 factory to cope with a rapidly growing market. An investment of 12 million euros which must be accompanied by around forty recruitments. The company operates in a constantly growing market in France but also internationally, where it achieves 80% of its sales. Twenty stitchers should join the factory in January after three months of internal training to be 100% operational in September 2022. The company is also looking for welders and staff for shipping and the store. The workforce has 47 employees and temporary workers, i.e. 84 employees, with a target of 125 to 135 permanent contracts by the end of 2022. The target: to produce 900 pieces per day compared to 450 today.
