The German group CLAAS, which specializes in agricultural equipment, has just inaugurated its "factory of the future" for the production of tractors in Le Mans. After three years of transformation, thanks to the intensive use of the latest digital technologies, this factory is setting new production standards. In 2017, CLAAS gave the green light to another major investment at Le Mans. Forty million euros were invested mainly in the complete modernization of the assembly lines and the digital transformation of the factory. Thus, since the takeover of Renault Agriculture in 2003, investments in Le Mans, at the Vélizy development center and at the Trangé testing and validation center have totaled approximately 80 million euros.
