NORELEM
Belts & Pulleys & Belt
The norelem range of V-belts and pulleys guarantees the smooth operation and efficiency of transmission systems with high power transfer. Designed for use with belt or chain drives, this range can withstand and transfer high torque and slip.
Easy to install and maintain, norelem's V-belt offering is available in multiple sizes and is suitable for applications where power needs to be transferred inside machines, including automotive components, household appliances such as washing machines. washing as well as industrial machines.
norelem V-belts all feature a V-section, providing high contact pressure to enable the transfer of higher torques in a smaller space than flat belts. The ability to minimize strain allows engineers to reduce maintenance and replacement of bearings used in the application over time.
Made from neoprene with a polyester tensile core, the norelem range of V-belts is available in two different standards DIN 2215 and DIN 7753. DIN 2215 is available with perimeter lengths from 463mm to 5038mm and three different versions. The norelem V-belt range complies with ISO 1813 standards due to their electrical conductivity and can withstand temperatures from -55°C to +70°C. Although they are oil resistant, it is recommended to avoid permanent contact with mineral oils and greases for longer life.
For engineers wanting higher power transfer, norelem's narrow V-belts (DIN 7753) are an ideal solution with their greater depth/width ratio and additional notches, engaging more of the pulley directly under the belt. reinforced core of the belt. Available in three different widths, with perimeter lengths ranging from 524 to 5022 mm, and in three different versions, norelem's narrow V-belt offering can withstand temperatures ranging from -55°C to +70°C.
V-belt pulleys are the latest addition to the norelem range. Made from gray cast iron, these parts have a tapered bore for tapered clamping bushes, which are used to mount V-belt pulleys onto a shaft. They are designed for a maximum circumferential speed of 35 m/s and are available in 12 different shapes.
Marcus Schneck, CEO of norelem, said: “V-belts have long been used by engineers due to their unique shape which makes it easier to maintain high speeds and makes it easier to hold them in place in rapid motion when engaged in the pulley groove. Easy to install and maintain, our range of V-belts and pulleys are available quickly to ensure power transmission systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
