The main advantages of elastomeric couplings are: vibration absorption, pluggable, zero backlash and electrical insulation. They are used in the following areas: Control technology, machine tools, packaging machines, automation systems, printers, control and positioning equipment, general mechanical engineering, pumps and mixers or roller door motors: depending on their function, the areas of use of the elastomer coupling are as varied as your requirements.
- Structure: two coupling hubs manufactured with high concentricity.
- Side 1: clamping hub with one ISO 4762 side screw
- Side 2: Inner cone expanding chuck and ISO 4762 screw. Recommended bore tolerance for expanding chuck: H7. Elastomer insert available in three versions.
- Temperature range: depending on the elastomer insert chosen.
- Torsional stiffness: In order to optimize the drive unit, we offer different Shore hardnesses for the elastomer inserts.
- Tolerance clearance: of the shaft-hub connection 0.01 - 0.05 mm
- Material :
- Coupling hubs: up to series 450 made of high-strength aluminum, from series 800 made of steel
- Inner cone + expanding mandrel: steel
- Elastomer insert: precisely manufactured plastic, extremely resistant to wear and temperatures
- Rotation speeds: standard, see table, depending on series up to 4,000 and 22,000 rpm. Above 4000 rpm the elastomeric coupling must be finely balanced (please specify).
