Many factors can cause overloads. Torque limiters from R+W guarantee a quick and reliable separation between drive and output side when a predefined torque is exceeded.

THE TECHNICAL BASIS: THE PRINCIPLE OF ENGAGEMENT OF THE R+W TORQUE LIMITER BALL

Mechanical torque limiters from R+W operate according to the spring-loaded ball engagement principle and serve as the ultimate emergency stopping elements of machines. Characteristic of the torque limiter operating mode: the high rigidity of the elements and the complete absence of play. If the torque exceeds the defined threshold, the balls engage and separate the drive side from the output side.

    • SK1 model from 1.5 to 10 Nm with clamping hub.
    • SK1 model from 15 to 2,800 Nm with slotted conical clamping hub.
    • SKP model as simple key connection.
  • Temperature range :
    • from -30 to +120°C
    • Temperature peaks up to +150°C
  • Backlash: Absolutely backlash-free thanks to a tight, force-bonded connection and a proven principle.
  • Lifespan: torque limiters are very durable and maintenance-free if the technical instructions are followed.
  • Tolerance clearance: of the shaft-hub connection 0.01 - 0.05 mm.
  • Material: highly resistant hardened steel.
