For over 30 years, R+W Antriebselemente GmbH has been manufacturing couplings, torque limiters and shaft lines for the whole world from 0.05 Nm to 2000 kNm that could meet your needs. In addition to a wide range of products, we can also offer you special couplings totally adapted to your applications.

SIMPLER, FASTER AND MORE ADVANTAGEOUS: R+W SHAFT LINES

Precision shaft lines are used to cover large distances. While in the past, it was necessary to provide an intermediate bearing in the event of a significant distance, modern shaft lines make it possible to obtain significant gaps (up to 6 meters) between the shafts without intermediate support. Their fields of application are very varied: they are found in particular in machine tools, packaging machines, printing machines, handling installations and cranes, or even in the field of manufacturing and painting lines.

Technical details

  • Structure :
    • Split clamping hubs balanced with two ISO 4762 side screws respectively.
    • Assembly and disassembly without offset of oriented machines.
    • Intermediate tube mounted with Cardan joint in the clamping hub.
  • Temperature range: -30 to +100°C
  • Backlash: Absolutely backlash-free thanks to a tight, force-bonded connection.
  • Lifespan: the shaft lines are very resistant and maintenance-free if the technical instructions are observed.
  • Tolerance clearance: of the shaft-hub connection 0.01 - 0.05 mm
  • Material :
    • Highly elastic stainless steel bellows
    • Intermediate tube: aluminum, from series 300 steel
    • optional: PRF execution
    • Coupling hubs: up to series 60 in aluminum, from series 150 in steel.
