For over 30 years, R+W Antriebselemente GmbH has been manufacturing couplings, torque limiters and shaft lines for the whole world from 0.05 Nm to 2000 kNm that could meet your needs. In addition to a wide range of products, we can also offer you special couplings totally adapted to your applications.

SIMPLER, FASTER AND MORE ADVANTAGEOUS: R+W SHAFT LINES

Precision shaft lines are used to cover large distances. While in the past, it was necessary to provide an intermediate bearing in the event of a significant distance, modern shaft lines make it possible to obtain significant gaps (up to 6 meters) between the shafts without intermediate support. Their fields of application are very varied: they are found in particular in machine tools, packaging machines, printing machines, handling installations and cranes, or even in the field of manufacturing and painting lines.

Technical details

  • Design:
    • Two divided clamping hubs with two side screws each. Intermediate tube mounted by Cardan joint in the clamping hub.
    • Operational from -30 to +100°C.
  • Material :
    • Bellows: in highly elastic stainless steel
    • Intermediate tube: FRP
    • Hubs: up to series 60 in aluminum, from series 150 in steel.
  • Properties of shaft lines, ZAL model:
    • low moment of inertia
    • to cover large wheelbases
    • standard lengths up to 6 m
    • no intermediate level necessary
    • for high rotation speeds
