R+W Antriebselemente GmbH
R+W - OUR TREE LINES
For over 30 years, R+W Antriebselemente GmbH has been manufacturing couplings, torque limiters and shaft lines for the whole world from 0.05 Nm to 2000 kNm that could meet your needs. In addition to a wide range of products, we can also offer you special couplings totally adapted to your applications.
SIMPLER, FASTER AND MORE ADVANTAGEOUS: R+W SHAFT LINES
Precision shaft lines are used to cover large distances. While in the past, it was necessary to provide an intermediate bearing in the event of a significant distance, modern shaft lines make it possible to obtain significant gaps (up to 6 meters) between the shafts without intermediate support. Their fields of application are very varied: they are found in particular in machine tools, packaging machines, printing machines, handling installations and cranes, or even in the field of manufacturing and painting lines. .
A SHAFT LINE MANUFACTURER – TWO TYPES OF CONSTRUCTION
R+W offers two different types of backlash-free shaft lines: with metal bellows or with elastomer insert.
The vibration-absorbing shaft lines with an elastomer insert as an intermediate piece absorb and compensate for vibrations and sudden torque variations. They can typically cover distances of up to four meters, are available with inner diameters between 5 and 140 millimeters and transmit peak torques of up to 25,000 Nm.
Torsionally rigid shaftlines are very similar to metal bellows couplings - both in terms of structure and technical properties as well as in their high torsional rigidity and low restoring forces. Thanks to their internal support with a special Cardan joint, the intermediate axes with metal bellows make it possible to cover distances of up to six meters and to compensate for axial and angular misalignments. Additionally, the critical rotational speed in bending is increased by the support, resulting in increased operating speed. The torsionally rigid intermediate axles cover a torque range of 10 to 1000 Nm and an internal diameter of 5 to 100 mm.
