For over 30 years, R+W Antriebselemente GmbH has been manufacturing couplings, torque limiters and shaft lines for the whole world from 0.05 Nm to 2000 kNm that could meet your needs. In addition to a wide range of products, we can also offer you special couplings totally adapted to your applications.

Long service life, reliability and flexibility: thanks to these qualities, industrial couplings are perfect for all areas of application that require maximum safety and performance despite constant extreme loads. Indeed, any downtime, any failure or any breakdown causes costs to skyrocket and can lead to technical damage or workplace accidents, whatever the industrial sector.

The requirements for the reliability of assembly elements are therefore as high as those for their areas of use. Industrial couplings must

o    
transmit extremely high torques with minimal performance losses,

o    
resist wear, even when subjected to extreme stress, and

o    
protect facilities and minimize risks.

R+W combines all these qualities in innovative couplings for industrial construction. Special customized solutions are made for many applications, but there is a wide range of standard couplings in which any company can find the product that suits them.

Technical details

  • Structure: divided in two to mount pre-assembled coupling parts
    • Part 1: engagement segment
    • Part 2: Engagement segment with pre-loaded spring-loaded engagement slide and integrated retainer
  • Temperature range: -30 to +120°C
  • Lifespan: torque limiters are very durable and maintenance-free if the technical instructions are followed.
  • Tolerance clearance: for the insertion of the engagement segments, provide H7 bores
  • Material: hardened steel, high strength (oxidized surface).
  • Reengagement: if the driving and driven parts have a synchronous angular position, the engagement slide can be returned to the locking position by axial pressure.
