Ever faster industrial doors and an increased need for security pose serious challenges to door security equipment and thus to the signal transmission of contact sensors. To automatically guarantee the highest level of security at all times, BBC Bircher Smart Access combines security category 2 (with test signal via the control) and security category 3 (without test signal) in one device.

If your control has an integrated test, the test signal is taken into account by ExpertSystem and the system is monitored in accordance with safety category 2, PLc. In the case of controls without test signal or if the test input is not connected, XRF monitors the safety system autonomously according to safety category 3, PLd, and thus offers the highest level of safety in all situations.

The wireless signal transmission system is configured in a few seconds by activating the security sensitive profile twice. ExpertSystem XRF also ensures fast signal transmission between transmitter and receiver.

Stability

All devices comply with protection type IP65 (except XRF-RD = IP20). In addition, the various components are mounted in the sensitive safety profile or in the electrical cabinet, which protects them from the weather. Thanks to a battery life of up to 7 years and high interference immunity (EMC), wireless signal transmission is always reliable.

ExpertSystem XRF is a hybrid system and therefore allows you to choose between security level cat. 2, PLC, and Cat. 3, PLd. Compatibility with all the controls available on the market is guaranteed and the harmonious integration with the ExpertSystem XL makes it possible to obtain an aesthetic overall system.
