ACIMEX CONQUERS WIND POWER
ACIMEX deploys its know-how in the service of new technologies and more particularly in the world of wind power for the Chinese project SINOMATECH.
SINOMA WIND POWER was founded in 2007, quickly establishing itself as the leading manufacturer of Chinese wind turbine blades. This company, based in Beijing and listed on the stock exchange, has seven factories in China with an annual production of 4000 blades. These performances propel it to the top ranks of Chinese industry and the top three of the global blade production industry.
SINOMA WIND POWER called on the experience of ACIMEX for the handling of these finished products, but also for the stripping of the carbon skins, an important and delicate step due to the length and weight of the blades (34T for a blade complete). Here is the global tailor-made solution proposed by ACIMEX for the supply of two vacuum lifters:
• The first handles the 82m long spar caps (mechanism which absorbs the compressive and tensile loads of the blade).
The ACIMEX n°1 vacuum lifter is thus equipped with 17 double suction cups, measures 80m long with a load capacity of 6.3T.
• The second unmolds the tip of the blade, which weighs 16T and measures 85.6M long. It will also be used later for the release of future blades, less heavy and of smaller sizes.
The ACIMEX No. 2 spreader therefore has a maximum load capacity of 16T.
