Automatic diagnosis of steam traps using STRAPSHOOTER + software

History of the LEAKSHOOTER® range:

The LKS1000-V.3+ version launched in 2019 allowed leak detection and automatic control of steam traps. This device had been specially developed for large industrial sites with a large steam network. Until then, traps were checked by ear with a contact probe that worked like a stethoscope.

The LKS1000-V.3+ detector is the first to have software for automatic control of the bleeders. In addition, we have included an 80*60px infrared camera for temperature measurement.

After 1 year of use, the requests for improvement mainly concerned:

• Software compatibility with different types of purgers, thermodynamic, thermostatic, float.
• A higher definition thermal camera.

The new version LKS1000-V.3+ PRO

A completely reworked software, it allows a much more detailed analysis of the different purgers.

Additionally, we noticed that the on-board infrared camera was regularly used for all types of applications.

So, we decided to include in the PRO version a model offering a better resolution 160x120px.

The STRAPSHOOTER + software is compatible with thermostatic, thermodynamic and float bleeders. It allows you to diagnose your bleeders very quickly and intuitively.
