Dény Security invests one million euros for three new machines

In five years, Dény Security, a company specializing in keys and locks based in Saint-Blimont (Somme), has invested one million euros in three machines intended to considerably improve its production. Today, for the first time in the history of this range, Dény is fundamentally transforming its flagship cylinder in order to further improve its level of safety and optimize its production method. Marketed since the beginnings of the company, the cylinder and its Dény key, dedicated to high security organization charts, continue to equip many sensitive sites more than 130 years later. A logical continuation of the installation of the laser welding machine dedicated to the manufacture of safety levers for the Dény cylinder, the investment in a key cutting robot was a natural choice in order to automate and reduce previously manual operations. , carried out on different stations, and thus streamline the process and make it more flexible. The result of an investment of €350,000, this new machine at the cutting edge of technology, installed in June and tested until the end of 2023, has a robotic arm armed with 2 grippers which is at the center operations (marking, machining, cleaning, finishing, sorting). Working independently on 300 keys, it allows a new patented key to be completely cut in 90 seconds (compared to six minutes previously) on a single workstation. Another advantage of this cutting robot is the possibility of making chamfers for a smoother passage of the key and of linking the coding directly to the flowchart service without going through paper. The complete deployment of the assembly and the launch of volume production is planned for January 2024.
