91 - Elogen installs a new electrolyzer production line

Following its acquisition by GTT in October 2020 and after a first year devoted to strengthening its organization and its teams, Elogen, the French technological leader in PEM (proton exchange membrane) electrolysis, has taken a key step in the massification of its output. With the support of the State, the construction of a new stack assembly line on the Ulis site allows Elogen to increase its production capacity to 160 stacks per year, thus providing Elogen with the greatest capacity of production in France, and by far, i.e. 160 MW per year. Remember that Elogen aims to market, by 2030, an electrolysis capacity of at least 400 MW per year. Beyond the massification of production, Elogen concentrates its R&D efforts around three main axes to optimize the efficiency of its electrolyzers and reduce their cost: the development of high-power stacks; the standardization and simplification of the “Balance-of-Plant”; and the use of new materials (polymers, catalysts, stack components).
