38 – The Chapel group buys itself a new fourth-generation hydraulic cylinder factory
Since September 2022, the 4000 m2 building of the Chapel group in Apprieu in Isère has housed a new fully automated production line with zero discharge standards, dedicated to the manufacture of "telescopic" cylinders for public works. This new state-of-the-art tool, which required an investment of 10 million euros benefiting from the government's Recovery Plan, will allow Chapel to stay one step ahead of the telescopic cylinder market, which is currently facing competition from low countries. -cost. Thanks to this fully automated production tool, the group estimates that it can cover 70% of the European market for telescopic cylinders, hopes to strengthen its position, open up to new markets across the Atlantic and above all increase its production capacity from 30% to 50 % (going from 60,000 telescopic cylinders/year to more than 100,000).
