69 - EBS Emballages: A new automated nailing machine
The family business EBS, specializing in the design and manufacture of wooden packaging, has just inaugurated a new production island in Propières in the Rhône: a new automated nailing cell made by Mecadi.
This high-tech cell represents a 14 m long unit made up of two robots weighing 2,500 kg and 4,500 parts, which now allows a single operator at the workstation, compared to 3 previously. Another notable change: it is now relieved of physical manipulation.
This unit makes it possible to produce and stack very large format pallets, up to 3 m long and 1.5 m wide, and therefore very heavy.
To achieve it, it took sixteen months of work and an investment of several hundred thousand euros.
