11 - Isoltop opens a new production site

Isoltop, manufacturer of lightweight floor beams, will open a second manufacturing site at the start of the year, this time in Castelnaudary.

Beams of a particular kind will be produced, of which the company is a specialist and for which it has even filed a patent, where the part normally made of concrete has been replaced by a folded galvanized sheet in which polyurethane has been injected, which makes them more insulating and lighter than a traditional system.

Its market: a materials distribution network, therefore mainly from the company but also from building majors such as Vinci, Eiffage, Bouygues, etc.

In this new manufacturing unit, Isoltop will manufacture 500,000 meters of beams per year, with the ambition of moving as much as possible towards "zero carbon".

On this new highly automated site, the management has chosen for each position to invest in a tool controlled by a single person and where the entire process, manual and painful, is carried out by robots and automatic machines.
