A new production line for Malo yogurts
While the Malo factory's older production lines packaged 10,000 pots of yogurt per hour, the new Serac line, recently installed, produces 20,000 pots per hour. This new line also made it possible to divide the production of compressed air by four, which is a very energy-intensive item. Because the characteristic cardboard pot is "complicated" - its shape makes it possible to prevent serum from rising and preserve the creaminess of the yogurts - it was necessary to adapt the machines, by lowering them, so that They are of an accessible size for the operator. This complete, 100% automated line now represents an investment of 3 million euros. Malo is also a 6 hectare site south of the city of Saint-Malo, soon to be 7 at the end of 2025, with the aim of allowing an expansion of the factory and storage areas. New work is also underway to secure the site, particularly in terms of fire.
