Vast extension project for MDP Ressort

Specializing in the manufacture of springs for a multitude of sectors, railway, aeronautics, household appliances, capital goods, the MDP company, from the Metalians group, will expand in La Ferté-Macé (Orne) to accommodate new machines. After two new digitally controlled machines which arrived in 2023, a third is planned for the third half of 2024. This represents an investment of around one million euros for innovative solutions with a more sustained production rate. The company, located in a former 2,900 m² clothing factory, now feels cramped and is considering an extension which will include two parts: a 700 m² building intended to accommodate new machines and to serve as a logistics area, as well as a second building of 70 m² dedicated to heat treatment. The director announces the start of work for the beginning of summer 2024, with an estimated duration of 6 to 8 months, which would allow the expansion to be finalized in spring 2025. In order to continue its development, these investments will lead to several recruitments: technical salesman, quality assistant and adjuster on numerical control machine.
