Danone invests 70 million in medical nutrition at its Steenvoorde site
The dairy giant is investing 70 million euros in its northern factory to make it Danone's first site in France dedicated to food supplements. By 2026, a new production line will focus on medical nutrition, providing supplements for the elderly and patients with chronic diseases. Danone will ultimately produce nearly 20 million liters of oral nutritional supplements and nearly 30 recipes and 115 references for its NUTRICIA brand, such as Fortimel 1. This factory, specializing in infant milks, was chosen for its hygiene technology similar and its unique ability to produce liquid casein, an essential component of new medical supplements.
