Safran Nacelles opens a new production line

It is in Gonfreville-l'Orcher in Seine-Maritime that Safran has just inaugurated a new production line, dedicated to the rear body of the Airbus A320neo nacelle. This line will have fourteen assembly stations and should enable the production of 150 rear bodies in 2021 and nearly 300 in 2022. Co-designed with the operators, this production line was first modeled using tools digital virtual reality systems that reduce industrialization times. It also incorporates more than 60 participatory innovation proposals put forward by employees, making it possible, among other things, to divide production cycles by four, or to improve the ergonomics of workstations. This new line has thus been able to achieve, from its start, the expected quality and cost objectives.
