Expandable steel centering chucks with cam lever
With this patented clamping system, two components are positioned without tools by form fitting and then clamped together by adhesion. Clamping range and force are adjustable.
Benefits :
The assembly of two components is possible without tools. Components are optimally centered when clamped. Thanks to its compact shape, the expanding centering chuck with cam lever can also be used in blind holes. The bores are not subject to any particular dimensional requirements. The surface and shape must also not have any special properties.
Material: Cast aluminum handle EN AC-46200.
Glass fiber reinforced plastic pressure washer PA 66 GF 35-X.
Stainless steel hinge pin.
Tie rod, washer, expandable centering mandrel and steel spring washer. Finish: Handle, microstructured black or microstructured red RAL 3003 powder coating.
Black pressure washer.
Blue passivated zinc plated washer.
Burnished expanding centering rod and mandrel. Note: The tie rod clamping force can be adjusted individually using a screwdriver. As a preset, it is recommended that the cam lever be vertical when the expanding centering chuck contacts the bore.
The functioning of the clamping system has been tested in bores with an H7 tolerance. All clamping force values are indicative and are given without absolute guarantee.
The user must verify the suitability for the application concerned. Functional principle: The clamping system is inserted into the bore in the open state. At the start of the closing process, the expanding centering mandrel expands to lock into the lower component. The integrated spring washer assembly creates a clamping effect that allows the two components to be tightened at the end of the closing process.
