NRS 1-50 1E
The NRS 1-50 level limiter constitutes a very low water level safety element on the control circuit of steam or superheated water boilers. The NRS 1-50 level limiter is designed for electrical conductivity of standard boiler water from 10 to 10,000 μS/cm (optional demineralized water: 0.5 to 1,000 μS/cm). It is connected to an immersed vertical level electrode.
When the water level drops below the lower tip of the electrode, a low level alarm is triggered: the red LED flashes. At the end of the 3s time delay, the two level limiter output contacts then open the safety circuit and switch off the burner: the red LED lights up. Burner shutdown is locked in the safety circuit and can only be unlocked after immersion of the level electrode. The alarm will also be triggered if a fault occurs in the level electrode and/or in its connection cable. Pressing the number on the electrode is a 'Test' of the limiter: it simulates an alarm.
