Shrink disc form A
Shrink disc for connecting a hub to a shaft. These elements are placed on the hub from the outside and generate a stress on the hub by reducing its internal diameter thanks to beveled surfaces. This causes the hub to self-tighten on the shaft. These fittings are suitable for static, dynamic and jerk stresses. For very high torques
- no shaft/hub axial offset during assembly
- self-centering
Assembly: Remove existing transport locks. Clean and lightly lubricate the shaft and the inside and outside diameters of the hub. Do not use MoS2 or grease. Place the shrink disk on the hub. Then, slip the assembly (shrink disc/hub) onto the shaft and put it in the desired position. Slightly tighten the clamping screws in order. Then tighten the clamping screws in sequence using a torque wrench by making several passes until reaching the specified tightening torque MS.
1st pass approx. 33% DM
2nd pass approx. 66% DM
3rd pass 100% MS
Dismantling: Loosen all screws in order and in stages, but do not extract them completely from the thread. The shrink disc usually unlocks by itself.
Material: Steel. Finish: Natural.
