Clamping ring form A with thin wall
The essentially self-centering, friction-driven and backlash-free expanding clamping hubs with their low moments of inertia are light, compact and easy to mount. Thanks to the large variety of models, they cover almost all possible applications in machine and tool construction. They are suitable even for high torques. The expandable clamping hubs are made of steel, but also of stainless steel for certain models. They are available from stock with shaft diameters from 4 to 85 mm.
Expandable clamping hubs basically consist of two spring-like rings, with the inner and outer surfaces of a hub being cylindrical. With play, they are placed in the bore of the hub or threaded onto the shaft. Depending on the type of construction, several screws or a central nut exert(s) tension or pressure in opposite directions on the tapered surfaces of the inner and outer rings in the axial direction. The expandable clamping hubs are then reliably fixed with the prescribed tightening torque and secured against any axial displacement on the shaft.

Note: Self-centering expandable clamping hub of small dimensions without axial offset. - for shaft diameters from 8 to 85 mm - for medium torques - Suitable for narrow shaft / hub connections - no axial offset - self-centering Assembly: Lightly lubricate the clamping ring on the tapered surfaces as well as on the areas of contact between the shaft and the ring. Do not use MoS2 or grease. Insert the expandable clamping ring into its housing and slip it onto the shaft. Tighten the screws to the tightening torque indicated in additioni
