CEA-Leti invests more than 500 million euros in the NextGen project, the future generations of electronic chips
As part of the roadmap set by the State, CEA-Leti, the electronics research and technology laboratory of the CEA in Grenoble, intends to invest more than 500 million euros over five years in the development of the next generations of FD-SOI chip technology.
The investment notably includes the creation of a dedicated clean room of 2,000 m2. For its director Sébastien Dauvé:
“We are now at the heart of the convergence between the need for proximity to industry, which is the DNA of CEA-Leti, and our ability to help the State meet the challenges of competitiveness and sovereignty. (In particular for semiconductors, editor's note).
