Network-integrated radio optical sensor: RF 96 LT
This wireless optical sensor features a compact rectangular enclosure that is easy to install in a rack system or machine. The reaction time and the switching frequency (about 1 Hz) of the RF 96 LT have been significantly improved compared to its predecessor, the energy consumption has also been optimized. Power is supplied by a long-life battery.
One of the first applications of this wireless sensor is the management of logistics flows, such as transport boxes, in automated guided vehicles (AGV). In this application, the maximum switching distance for the detection of a red storage crate is 120 mm, and 90 mm for a blue crate. These features of the RF 96 LT provide machine builders with an alternative solution to traditional electromechanical limit switches . Two basic versions are available:
- the first is suitable for wireless communications thanks to a sWave receiver on the 868 MHz frequency band (or 915 or 922 kHz in other geographical areas)
- the second can be integrated into sWave.NET® wireless networks, in which several tens, or even hundreds, of wireless switches communicate with centralized computer systems via access points. This second version is particularly suitable for intralogistics applications, such as e-kanban systems, AGV automated guided vehicle fleets, semi-automated shipping systems, or position control of electric gates and loading ramps in logistics centers. .
- sWave® radio technology (SW868/SW915/SW917/SW922)
- Illuminated push button: operated by light reflection
- Power supply via lithium battery (interchangeable)
- Easy assembly in standard commercial shelves
- Short switching frequency < 1 Hz
- Simple programming on the receiver side
